So Far So Good
Just a short update... We went to the hospital again last week for a follow-up on dad's condition. Did another brain scan & the result was good. No further development from the cyst in dad's brain. Dad has been eating & sleeping well. However, his recent blood test showed a high level of creatinine which means his kidney is in trouble. Most probably due to the prolonged antibiotic prescription for his brain infection.
Doc advised to get daddy to drink a lot more fluid so the kidney function may return to normal. It hasn't been easy as daddy can be very stubborn, refusing to drink the fluids we've been giving him. So far, we're still winning the battle with different ways of persuasions & occassional threats. Doc even recommended a can of beer a day for daddy! Reason being beer can help flush the kidneys... Recently, we gave him green tea as one of the beverages for him to drink. Seems like it's helping, cos there is less foam from dad's pee.
Our helper went back to her hometown a week ago & has yet return. Sigh... She's supposed to arrive back today but no signs yet. Hope we're not losing a helper. Else, I'm going to have to stay longer in Kuching!
